The gestures before the day begins
On 23 August 2025, Matteo and Carmen’s story begins with small gestures: a tie being straightened, make-up in the light of a room, a kiss before leaving. Children weave through the preparations and loved ones enter the frame. These moments of closeness set the tone before the ceremony.
Dentro la cerimonia
La chiesa allarga lo sguardo: l’ingresso di Carmen, le mani vicine durante gli anelli, i bambini tra i banchi. Accanto agli sposi, il racconto si ferma sui volti di chi partecipa. Un abbraccio, un sorriso appena accennato e l’applauso diventano parte della stessa memoria.
Inside the ceremony
The church opens up the frame: Carmen’s entrance, hands coming together for the rings, children among the pews. Alongside the couple, the story pauses on the faces of those sharing the day. An embrace, a quiet smile and the applause become part of the same memory.
Lo spazio per stare insieme
Tra vicoli, scale e muri colorati, Matteo e Carmen attraversano il paesaggio senza riempirlo. Poi lo spazio si apre: un albero, l’erba, il movimento dell’abito. Le immagini più ampie lasciano respirare la giornata; quelle vicine tornano a un abbraccio e a una risata.
Space to be together
Among narrow streets, steps and coloured walls, Matteo and Carmen move through the landscape without filling it. Then the space opens up: a tree, grass, the movement of a dress. Wider frames give the day room to breathe; closer images return to an embrace and a laugh.
La festa prende il ritmo
I brindisi aprono una parte più rumorosa del racconto. I bambini restano dentro la festa, gli amici sollevano gli sposi, il ballo cambia continuamente le distanze. Il sassofono accompagna le ultime immagini; sotto le luci della sera, il taglio della torta riunisce ancora una volta Matteo, Carmen e chi è lì con loro.
The rhythm of the celebration
The toasts open a louder chapter of the story. Children remain part of the celebration, friends lift the couple into the air, and dancing keeps changing the distances between people. A saxophone accompanies the final images. Under the evening lights, the cake cutting brings Matteo, Carmen and their guests together once more.
